History and Milestones

GELEX Electric Joint Stock Company was established on August 29, 2016, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of GELEX. From its inception, the Company focused on the manufacturing and trading of electrical metering equipment, gradually building a foundation for its development and operational expansion.

  • 2016

    Established as GELEX Electric Metering Equipment One Member Company Limited, 100% owned by Vietnam Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Corporation (now GELEX Group Joint Stock Corporation) (GELEX).

    2018

    GELEX Group restructured GELEX Electric Metering Equipment Co., Ltd. into GELEX Electric Equipment Co., Ltd. to operate as a sub-holding company.

    2020

    Converted into a joint stock company and renamed GELEX Electric Equipment Joint Stock Company (GELEX Electric).

    2021

    Became a large-scale public company with a charter capital of VND 3,000 billion.

    2022

    • Officially traded shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).
    • On November 15, 2022, renamed to GELEX Electric Joint Stock Company.

    2024

    Listed 300 million shares on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) under the ticker symbol GEE.

  • 2025

    Reached a market capitalization of nearly USD 3.4 billion, entering the Top 30 largest listed enterprises on the market
